Location
Cocooned in a stunning small bay of the promontory of the Argentario, facing the limpid waters of the sea of Tuscany, the Hotel Il Pellicano is at 145 Km from the airport of Rome Fiumicino and 210 Km from Pisa. Around this resort there are many attractions to be visited: medieval towns at 30 Km, Maremma National Park at 40 Km, the islands of Giglio and Giannutri at 30 minutes boat ride.

Hotel
The Hotel Il Pellicano is like a stunning cluster of villas set among old olive trees, cypress-trees, oleanders, bougainvillea, rosemary and lavander on the breathtaking Argentario Peninsula is composed by six cottages and a main building where there are rooms, the hall and a nice terrace with bar and restaurant. This lovely frame makes it appear as a well harmonized ensemble of villas instead of a traditional Hotel. Il Pellicano is a perfect hideaway where you can go when your are in search of tranquillity, privacy and a touch of romanticism. Rooms
The resort has 50 rooms in total of which 17 Standard rooms with view over the park, 16 Sea View rooms, 5 Junior Suites and 10 De Luxe Suites, all with stunning view and one of which with private pool. The collection of six “villas” take their names from some aquatic birds: Beccaccino, Cormorano, Ducula, Egretta, Folaga, Gabbiano. Rooms can be located in the main building or in one of those cottages and are  decorated in homey, cottage-style, with exposed wooden beams, plain furnishings, terra-cotta floors and dispose of a patio or a terrace with sea or park view. All of them are differently furnished.

Restaurants
The elegant 2 Michelin - starred restaurant “Il Pellicano” offers excellent dishes of the Mediterranean tradition in a pleasant and stylish atmosphere. To be highlighted is the professionalism of the  waiters, attentive and charming in dispensing sensible advice to guide the client also through the wine list. During the warmer season on the open air terrace for lunch and dinner are served the best typical dishes of the gastronomic tradition of Tuscany.
Wine is fundamental to the “Il Pellicano” and “all’aperto” dining experience. The wine cellar, “La Cantina”, ranges from Tuscan big guns to vintage champagne, glorious whites and lesser-known treats from the local Maremma region and farther afield. The sommelier is there to share his knowledge and help guests find the perfect wine to accompany their meal. There is an ample selection of labels, and some are available for purchase to carry or ship back home.
